"I'm disappointed to share my negative experience with Aegis Law Firm, particularly concerning the class action administrator they hired. The administrator sent the settlement check to an old address and failed to make any effort to contact me, despite having my phone number. While I’m glad the funds were at least donated to charity, this situation has caused significant complications. The IRS is now requesting taxes on these funds, and the administrator is refusing to correct the erroneous tax forms (W-2 and 1099) they issued. As a result, I’m now being wrongfully assessed taxes for money I never received. This situation has caused months of frustration, including hours spent working with the IRS, gathering documentation, and trying to resolve the issue. It has left me with a very negative experience of my involvement with Aegis Law Firm. I am disappointed that Aegis Law Firm chose to work with an administrator who has such a low rating (2.6 stars), which ultimately raised concerns about their oversight and due diligence. I sincerely hope we can work together to resolve this matter, as this experience has unfortunately diminished my confidence in the firm's ability to manage such important details."
