"I would definitely give Surprenant, Beneski & Nunes a 5 star rating. My brother died in New Bedford in 2022 and I lived in Texas at the time. My brother's will was outdated so we had to go through a long probate process which took more than 3 years to resolve. Wendy and Melinda were kind, helpful and understanding even when I was impatient and frustrated. I have recently moved to Massachusetts and am having Wendy, Skylar and Colin help me get my own affairs in order. I trust them completely and strongly recommend them to anyone who is looking to create an end-of-life plan."
"Our family has relied on Surprenant, Beneski, and Nunes PC in preparation for and during the most challenging and difficult ordeal of losing family members (and protecting all that our loved ones worked so hard to provide for our family). We have received personalized support, empathetic care, and a detail oriented team who walked us through every step of the process. Our family is extremely grateful for everyone that we have worked with in the office, and we could not recommend this firm enough."
"As an estate planning firm, we found Surprenant, Beneski & Nunes P.C. to be very detail oriented as well as highly professional and knowledgable. They also provided very clear communication on how the estate settlement process would happen. If you live in New Bedford or the South Coast here in MA, Surprenant, Beneski & Nunes P.C. will deliver excellent service to you and your family."
"My mother engaged Surprenant, Beneski (and now & Nunes P.C.) in 2008 to explore alternatives to protect and ensure she would be able to remain in her home as she grew older and able to receive the services required to do so. As specialist in Elder Law my mother and her 6 children felt confident in agreeing with the recommendation to proceed in creating an Irrevocable Trust. The document thoroughly covered all required areas. In 2021 the Firm was engaged once again to review the existing document and to make needed changes to the Alternate Trustee designee as well as changes to the Health Care Proxy and alternate. In September 2024 my mother passed at home with professional care by her beside along with family members. We once again engaged the Firm to file the necessary State form and obtain from IRS Tax ID#s for the Estate and Irrevocable Trust . We were also provided a detailed guidance letter on how to proceed as personal representative. Upon request we were provided a number of CPA firms which the Firm had worked with for the preparation of the final Estate and Trust Federal and State tax returns. We chose one of the firms and are very satisfied with their service. In summation the services provided by Surprenant, Beneski & Nunes P.C. are very professional and knowledgeable in Elder Law. Their expertise accomplished my mother's requirements which were: she be able to remain in her home, be provided the services required to make that possible and to leave her six children the proceeds from the sale of her home of 52 years. Truly a 5 star service. Stephen R. Montembault"
"Over the summer I went to our local COA as Surprenant, Beneski was offering a free seminar on estate planning. I'm at the age were I am concerned, it was very informative, they also offered an hour and a half one on one appointment for free at their office to discuss our needs. I would recommend this office to anyone. Great experience and cost is reasonable I think. Everyone we have dealt with in the office is courteous and friendly, great information and investment in your future needs."
