"My parents paid roughly $10,000+ for what they believed was comprehensive estate planning and asset protection. When a real health crisis hit, and my sibling and I had to locate and rely on those documents, what we found was deeply disappointing. In my opinion, the work product did not come close to justifying the price. The documents appeared to be a very basic estate package: provisions to pass assets to each other, then to the children, along with a simple living will and related paperwork. For a family with modest assets and straightforward needs, this felt far more like an expensive boilerplate package than customized legal planning.
