"I hired this firm hoping for guidance, support, and protection during a very stressful situation involving my family. I did not qualify for a free court-appointed attorney due to my employment, but that does not mean I have unlimited financial resources. I am a working parent with two small children, a mortgage, and everyday financial responsibilities, and I made the decision to pay out of pocket because I believed having proper legal representation would help me protect my children and myself. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely stressful and financially overwhelming. I was billed $1,200 or more after nearly every court appearance, even though most appearances lasted no more than 30–45 minutes. My case went through five court appearances, when it ultimately should have been dismissed the first time due to lack of jurisdiction. Instead, I am now left paying over $5,000 for a case that, in my opinion, should not have required this level of time or cost. Throughout the process, I repeatedly reached out to express how financially stressful this situation had become. I contacted the paralegal, assistant, billing department, and attorney directly. I explained that I was already making retainer payments and trying to keep up, but the charges kept increasing. I was hoping for understanding, clarity, or some type of solution but instead, I felt unheard and unsupported while the bills continued to grow. To make matters worse, when I was unable to pay the full balance while still making consistent payments. I received a letter of disengagement just two weeks before my hearing. This added an incredible amount of stress and left me feeling abandoned during an already difficult time. I sought legal help to feel protected and supported during a challenging situation for my family. Instead, I left feeling financially drained, stressed, and honestly, taken advantage of. Just because someone is employed and doesn’t qualify for a free attorney does not mean they can absorb thousands of dollars in unexpected legal fees without hardship. For anyone considering hiring this firm, I strongly recommend asking very detailed questions about billing practices, court appearance charges, and communication expectations upfront. I truly wish the level of care and understanding matched the level of cost. This experience has been incredibly stressful and disappointing. 😔"
