Franz Rasmussen Update: After being billed $3,500, I paid the invoice in full. Immediately afterward, I received another bill for $1,000 to replenish the retainer. Two days after paying a total of $4,500, the firm withdrew from representing me. Over approximately 12 months, I was charged close to $12,000. In that time, very little substantive progress was made. One of the primary deliverables was an Excel spreadsheet that required minimal effort relative to the time billed. I have since retained new counsel. In one month, my new attorney has accomplished more than was completed in the prior year. This experience was extremely disappointing and costly."
