From the start, there were clear lapses in professionalism and ethics that left me questioning the integrity of the firm’s practices. Despite a contractual obligation, I discovered that the required $1,000 earnest money deposit was never provided by their client—yet the firm’s staff continued as if the agreement was valid, a critical misrepresentation of the transaction's status. The lack of transparency and apparent disregard for their ethical responsibilities have been frustrating and costly. Adkins Law Firm’s handling of this case is not only unprofessional but also appears to breach Delaware Lawyers’ Rules of Professional Conduct. The attorneys should have ensured their client's compliance with the contract and kept all parties informed of any discrepancies in the deal. Furthermore, the office's failure to supervise non-lawyer staff adequately has only compounded the issues. If you’re seeking a law firm that values honesty and follows through with professional conduct, I would advise looking elsewhere. I’m left with no choice but to report these issues to the Delaware Office of Disciplinary Counsel and the Delaware State Bar Association for further investigation.
